There are three names for this kind of product; all of them refer to the same technique:

• melt in holograms;
  
• hot stamping foil;
  
• hot printing foil.

Such foils have been designed to melt into their base with the help of a heated matrix. Once bonded with paper, plastics, it becomes impossible to separate the hologram form the base.
Hot stamping holograms are similar to self-adhesive holograms – those can either be custom or standard designs.
